The Women's Environment Network Australia is an organisation that seeks to amplify women's voices for the environment.
Women are the most likely to respond to surveys as concerned about the environment and represent the majority of people who actively volunteer on environmental projects. Yet this interest is not reflected in formal decision making settings.
Our intention is to remedy this situation by supporting women to confidently have their say on our common future as well as supporting their voices and actions to make a difference for the health of the environment.

350 day of international climate change action
Hello, my name is Yulia and I recently joined WENA.
I am involved in a grassroots climate action group, who is participating in the 350 event inParramatta , Sydney on October the 24th. We are helping to educate young people about the urgency of climate change and the way in which they can incorporate this into their everyday lives. A forum is being held also with reputable guest speakers talking extensively on the subject. It is important to bring the issue of climate change to a local, community level, in that it is not just a policy issue concerning governments or a green agenda for businesses to incorporate into their practices.
How are other women getting involved on this day?
